Only letting consumers know a small slice of the truth, otherwise everyone would be cutting back on spending, sell/cut the stuff they don't need, ie one Range Rover SUV and one Mercedes SUV sitting in the carport either on loans or salary sacrifice and most of all stop tapping into their savings.
Once savings are gone, people unable to refinance loan to purchase that car or take that holiday and when they come out of their fixed loans we will see who has been living outside their means.
Btw recessions are good for economies but unfortunately the writing is on the wall and Australia is heading for a sustained period of stagflation.
Again, good times make weak men and bad times make strong men.
