Last year there were murmurings that the Fed would be okay with a 4% inflation rate going forward, not the 2-3% target. That's going to send a lot of businesses to the wall globally leaving the more efficient and productive ones remaining, ie; getting rid of the crap from the economy, a good clean out. Those who haven't lived a Recession are going to have their eyes opened and most will leave it too late before they make any adjustment.
They need to cut costs and cut their potential losses, suck it up and reload at maybe a more attractive position, but it's all about timing and risk.
