no sympathy for builders after decades of shoddy workmanship for 'fixed price' contracts in a race to the bottom. they weren't complaining about government stimulus during the good times. every downturn has seen the government step in and bail them out. the whole sector needs an overhaul, if it was manufacturing they would have shut it down a long time ago. if anything, the government needs to be called out for poor regulation of the industry. the amount of builders out there building sub-standard homes is out of control.
