    it's simplified...

    loose monetary policy for way too long

    people essentially bought assets on tick and overpaid for them... "geez the weatherboard three doors down went for $1.4mil we'd better get in QUICK!!!"

    those same people can't afford to feed themselves and they're a contributing factor to the death by a thousand cuts. another contributing factor is global debt.
