Just looked at that ABC article and one would suggest a customer surcharge fee for using BNPL services would impact APT more so than it would Zip. This is considering that APT is drawing near 80% of their revenues from merchants, as opposed to Zip only portioning 38% of revenue being generated from merchants.
The COGS for a product paid for via APT is obviously higher than COGS for the same product bought with Zip. So it'd make sense as a retailer to slug a higher surcharge on someone paying with APT at the checkout, if and wheb they will be allowed to do so.
