    It is probably likely that the fund has a few mill in cash,
    and $10k comes off your balance.

    It is not relevant to factor in the value of the shares.
    Fact is your account varies all the time
    as shares and other asset classes do.

    The important thing to consider is
    you wouldn't sell shares at the bottom
    why withdraw when your balance is under pressure?
