Good to see transnet & rbct still getting shiploads of coal to market - that's 74.4m tonnes, annualised - a huge improvement on recent years. Chinese & Indians apparently back in the market for SA thermal coal:
China and India have continued to take substantial quantities of South African coal - China took 1.3 million tonnes in March and India took 1.9 million and China has started to buy competitively-priced Colombian imports
JOHANNESBURG – South Africa exported 6.24-million tons of coal from the Richards Bay Coal Terminal in March, up slightly from 6.09-million tons the previous month, data showed on Thursday.
Africa's biggest economy – a major exporter of coal to power stations in Europe and Asia – had 3.03-million tons of stock at the terminal at the end of March, RBCT said.
