I was doing some reading recently and was quite surprised that it seems many current anti biotics work by disrupting the bacterial cell wall and causing the bacteria to explode or break down. For some time I had assumed it was only Rce that had this effect and was getting overly concerned about the effect this breaking down bacteria might have in the bloodstream. I found this interesting as obviously current anti biotics when effective will produce same debris as rce so there should be no more risk than regular antibiotics with this getting processed by the body.

I also read that human cells do not have a cell wall and so are not affected by this mode of action. This was another thing I was curious about considering I am not a biologist or scientist so don't fully understand the differences in human cells, bacteria and viruses.
I assume our anti biotic attacks the envelope in a different way to the previous anti biotics that do exhibit growing resistance, I am now curious to know what the difference is and why other envelope damaging anti biotics build resistance yet recce apparently doesn't.
Below is one article that seemed quite good at explaining.
