I am interested to see what the proposed path is for the burns surface treatment from here. If current results continue then we have excellent end to phase 1 - 2 trial. Surely only phase 3 required and then the product could seek approval for commercialisation at least in Australia and begin earning some income. I'm not sure what the cost would be if Fiona Stanley were to continue hosting the phase 3? Is that even possible or would it need to be multiple sites and very large number of patients? It seems like burns treatment was not part of the original plan outside sepsis but was requested by the burns doctors? Having gone down that path it seems currently the closest product to earning income with the recent preliminary results.
It would be a shame if they end up with a great product but no money to proceed. That being said at current trajectory assuming trial results stay good and interest increases they could easily raise another 30 million or more maybe at $2+ for minimal dilution. With a product that appears to work this well at least in burns surely there will be plenty of serious investors interested. If they did a raise for whatever the amount to complete phase 3 on burns and get it to market surely the demand would be huge with follow on global exposure.
