CSL is unique as they process blood plasma for manufacture of pharmaceuticals such as Normal Serum Albumin, Immunoglobulins & Vaccines. They are also leaders in flu vaccine manufacturing & also have the Behring range. Revenue circa $11.7B AUD.
Recce is also unique as they have patented new age synthetic anti-infectives designed to address urgent global health problems of antibiotic resistance, sepsis, viruses & other diseases/ailments.
First vaccine produced by CSL was for the Spanish Flu in 1919. They then went on to become a large scale manufacturer of penicillin in 1944 after it was discovered by Howard Florey in 1939.
There are similarities between the CSL early days & Recce now with Covid. However, that is where the similarities end because CSL was government backed & couldn't fail unlike a lot of start up biotech companies.
Recce has the potential to manufacture a treatment for Covid & then go on to become a large scale manufacturer of the new 21st century penicillin & other medicines. I am fairly confident that the new synthetic penicillin for treating antibiotic resistance, sepsis, covid & many other diseases will generate multi billion dollar revenue for Recce.
I believe the Recce synthetic anti-infectives are similar to the Chemeq Technologies Chemyde product. I will post some research on Chemyde shortly.
My only concern as others have previously mentioned is that it sounds too good to be true. With Fidelity onboard maybe this is the real deal.
Look at the big names in the Top 10 holdings in the Fidelity Select Pharmaceuticals Portfolio. Will Recce be in the list in future or be taken over by one in the list?
