    Interesting question.

    Same inventor (Dr Melrose), however Chemeq retained ownership of the patents to its products when Dr Melrose resigned. When Chemeq folded, ownership of its patents passed to a company called Chemeq Technologies Pty Ltd. When RECCE filed for patents for RECCE-327, this was challenged by Portison Pty Ltd, a company claiming to have acquired all the intellectual property of Chemeq Ltd and Chemeq Technologies Pty Ltd. RECCE's response to this is below.

    At the very least, both the Chemeq and RECCE products have broad-spectrum efficacy against bacteria and viruses, so seem to be uncannily similar (and were both invented by Dr Melrose). There doesn't seem to have been subsequent legal action that I can find, however, and RECCE's patents have been granted.
