acquisitions of falling knives (or possibly chainsaws ?) ............. many to choose from - remember that absolute cracker called FORGE ! But you right - Balance sheet is a key strength. nothing wrong with just winning work and focusing on margin. every little click up on that EBIT margin wonderful. I love all the talk of M & A in this sector. With the A$ falling like a rock if M & A was that compelling and the sector that rosey then why are offshore not wading into this mid market space as a bs "market entry strategy" ? Or the PE guys that have pretty full pockets at the moment ? Call me really basic but forget all the sexy stuff and just win good work, make announcements and show sustainable margin. that will get me to open my wallet and let a few moths out way before a dopey M & A deal.
