Very hard to second guess "important strategic decision".
Could have decided not to release any trial data until all patients are evaluated - the timeline has indications for EPD and interim, it doesn't say they will announce. Semantics, I know.
Could have decided to ditch their idea of an early partnership and go it alone.
Could have decided that things are going so badly they need to CR before results so that they can get paid next year.
Could have decided to get a really good coffee machine.
Etc etc etc.
It all depends how you want to paint it.
