The way I understand it Comsec/etc shuts shop at 4pm.

I believe broking houses can still trade among themselves (for their clients as well) after this time, for a short while.

I don't believe there would be anything to stop you getting to the top of the list pre-opening tomorrow as long as your price put you at the top of the list.

The way it goes, from what I'm told, is that top bidder gets first crack at the shares on offer. If you offered $1.20 for something and the first seller on the other side was willing to unload at 95 cents then you would get what was available at 95 cents, I believe.
