Seems this Smitherman dude has taken a board position at NRG Energy, doesnt seem like the actions of a man tapped to imminently lead FERC.
Final votes for the nomination of Perry to lead the Department of Energy is in final vote state in the Senate- expect about a week. You would think once this is done they will get to FERC appointments given FERC is notionally a part of the DOE and Perry would be pushing this with Trump given all the work FERC does not just in project approvals but pricing and energy regulation in general.
FERC just before they lost their quorum pushed through some final approvals for pipelines, didnt seem Maggy was seen as high priority. Damn u FERC.
