So if this article published in the Texas Monthly on the 9th of Feb is correct ? Then that means that on Monday the 6th of Feb-2017 FERC gave the go ahead on this Multi Billion dollar project, does it not ?

It then goes onto say,

Smitherman is a longtime political ally of former Governor Rick Perry, whom President Trump has nominated to lead the Department of Energy. In December, Smitherman wrote an op-ed for the Dallas Morning News praising Perry for championing the 2002 deregulation of Texas’s electricity markets:

Smitherman left Vinson and Elkins on January 20, the day of Trump’s inauguration, fueling speculation that he was planning to accept a position in the new administration. The most recent FERC chairman, Norman Bay, resigned last week, leaving only two of the five spots on the commission filled. And Trump and Smitherman do seem to see eye to eye on energy issues—like the president, Smitherman has called global warming a “hoax.”

So i can't help but wonder why the hell they couldn't / didn't give us the NTP as well, as now it seems we're just stuck in Limbo until this Ferc'n mess is resolved one way or the other now !

Talk about Ferc'n frustrating, not to mention, rubbing salt into our wound !

It seems 80% of the approvals can be done by delegates. What I cannot find out is if the LNG NTP fits into the 80%. The other problem is that if Smitherman is appointed chair he will be outnumbered by two Democrats in the quorum of three. Will he stall decisions until he gets two more Republicans onboard? All this mess came about from the Republicans willfully obstructing the Obama administration.
