After today's ill considered defamation that is only fair.

And once again for the record, I have already made it clear that I did not compare Jervois to Fortescue Mining. The trainee Eureka Street journalist began his interview with the pretty silly question, "Well, is Jervois another Fortescue?"

My reply was "Hardly" and went on to discuss the Young Project pointing out that the company needed a robust process to allow the project to stand up in all economic cycles. As the body of the report will show, this was a sobre if, in retrospect, somewhat optimistic appraisal.

There was one factor I did not count on.....
