WOOOOWEEEE talk about an emotional subject but I need to understand somethings here.

Speed doesn't have an effect on road tolls and accidents? Is this what some of you are arguing? That's a pretty counter-intuitive sort of statement and against many studies (although I must admit you can dig up figures to justify anything).

I remember as a young bloke many people arguing against compulsory seat belt wearing. Same arguments, causes more bodily damage than it stops, it's just another thing to fine you for, it's all about revenue. Today, how many people would make these arguments?

And the "100 km/h is too low, make it 130" argument from earlier on. I guarantee you if you did that then there'd be a whole bunch of you whingeing because you were only doing 133 and they booked me! You have to draw the line somewhere and if you draw the line then you need to enforce it.

Make no mistake about it, for many govt people it IS all about revenue raising, abso-f@*king-lutely!!! SO? Just because the motivation of some people is skewif does that mean that we throw out any attempts to slow down the d@ckheads?
