dufuss, someone made the point on the DJIA thread this morning that retraces often like to bounce off the 50% point. In the last run up the DOW went from about 12200 to 13200...a 1000point gain. last night it hit the 50% retrace point at 12700 and bounced from there to close higher. there is a good chance that that may be the low for the DOW for now. The market should realize this and whilst stocks may open lower on Monday I suggest there is a good chance of a recovery later in the day.
