I have done some checking and it seems the BHP example is not analogous to the situation with CLQ.
With a Commsec account, all I need to do is to initially request Computershare to allocate some of my holding for trade on the TSX, and use my International Share Trading account to sell / buy.
I can trade those "allocated" shares on the TSX, but orders need to be placed through Commsec by phone only. Not that I am going to do so, as I am a long term holder not interested in trading CLQ, but thought this may be of assistance to those who would like to try and profit from the current arbitrage situation. It may also help to narrow the gap between currency adjusted trading prices for CLQ on each Exchange.
