Warren had smart money skills. That Goldman Sach preferred stock with s hefty dividend yield was no ordinary opportunity. I recalled it was instigated by Treasury or Feds to instigate some confidence in the system with “if it is good for Buffet then it is a safe monetary system” sentiment. How he was approached and what undisclosed guarantees were not disclosed.
And that’s what smart money is all about. We can only follow his coat tails or those of the BEOT with much more privileged info shall we say.
