    It might be worth mentioning that EVs actually run mostly on conventional sources of power, i.e. coal, hydro, nuclear, world wide. Battery is only a medium carrying the energy. Here in OZ, it's mainly coal, and it will be a long way to get it all on solar or other renewables.
