Re-completion of First Well at Jefferson - McLeod
Carpenter Pacific Resources NL (ASX:CPC) (“Carpenter Pacific”) advises that it has commenced the first re-completion of a three well program on the existing wells on the Company’s 30% owned Jefferson – McLeod Project located in North East Texas. The re-completion activity involves perforating and fracing (fracture stimulation) of a new reservoir, the Petitt, in the Harris well. This well is currently producing at a rate of 70 mcf of gas per day.
It is expected that the fracing will take approximately two days to complete.
The re-completion may result in a significant increase in production from the well.
As part of the current well program, this re-completion will be followed by two additional well re-completions.
