Presenter Bios: Lewis Musasike


Lewis Musasike
Executive Manager, Treasury
Development Bank of Southern Africa

Mr Lewis M Musasike is an Executive Management (Vice President) for Treasury at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and is an Executive Member of the Bank’s senior management (Exco). Prior to 1998 when he joined the DBSA, Mr Musasike was Division Chief: Capital markets and Financial Operations at the African Development Bank, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (now temporarily relocated to Tunis). He joined the AfDB in 1987, prior to which he worked for PriceWaterhouse (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers) in Harare, Zimbabwe. Mr Musasike also is a member of the Board of Directors of Proparco (based in Paris).

Mr. Musasike has extensive experience in development banking, capital markets and treasury.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985, and as a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) in 1987. Completed his MBA with the University of Warwick (Coventry-UK) in 1995, and later qualified as an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT-UK).
