re: email jhamann2002 at yahoo.com.au 'on' is a challenging preposition as such...

I see what you mean...we say...(if we are talking about Friday morning and its Thursday) I'll see you tomorrow morning usually or I'll see you in the morning...either have nothing to actually do with 'on'...

But if talk about more than one day....then it all 'on'....i.e. I will see you Saturday morning or Sunday or whatever...

'on' can also be used as a reference for time time....i.e. Will you be 'on' time... or as a question 'will the train be on time' but that is much more like British English...in Aus we say 'where is the fkn train'.

But you could also do the exercise to what is on what....i.e A fly is on the wall, or on the ceiling, the picture, or the wall...whatever....

So seeing as we say that on a river or, or on a road or on the coats....I don't see why you cannot say....on Bribie Island...as per could you say at the corner or on the corner....

    Sick of grammar or wat...
