KCN is the real surprise, sp in the doghouse because of "environmental" problems with the military guys. Also in the North, a Thaksin voter stronghold. If the company was close to his, and later his sister's government, they could be viewed badly by the Southern elite. And Thailand is extremely corrupt in many ways (see the Bridge game fiasco, a police attempt to get bribes), perhaps they didn't pay the right people. OTH, they are certainly trying to diversify outside of Thailand (Australia, Chile) and some institutions might be changing their perception of KCN.
