Its always easy to be wise in hindsight ,CNP probably shouldnt have borrowed as they did however i can see their reasoning .I myself bought a small investment property in the 80s using bank bills that were rolled over every 3 months .I t was a way of getting interest only finance i would have been in dreadful trouble if the lender had refused to roll over the bills every 3 months . CNp did this type of borrowing on a much larger scale of course and would have received an awful shock when they wer refused refinance as their earnings to this point were more than adequate
