Beermee Alsons and Xstrata are in competition for Indophils share of Tamapaken. If it costs 60-70 cents a pound of copper to produce and Cu is worth $1.50-2.00 why would Xstrata moth ball it? The Phillipines may not be impressed if development was unnecessarily delayed. It will take a while to develop the mine the long term out look for Cu is favourable. Xstrata will invest where it will get the best return may be it has projects that are better. No one can know what will happen but it is reasonable that Alsons and/or Xstrata will make a bid for Tamapaken or Indophil
