re: going to tank hard Regardless of the recent pullback in crude oil prices, and QAN's bearish outlook statement on earnings (in-line with FY06), arguably better than the market’s expectations I still don't reconcile the strong performance in their stock price over recent days, not on value or yield grounds. The execution risk of their redundancy strategy to slash costs is HIGH.
Quote from GSJBW today: “We do not believe the risk/reward trade-off is sufficiently attractive to wade into the stock at least 12 months out from the re-establishment of strong positive earnings momentum”
Is there a play emerging on the freight side of the business with Fox et al???
