re: I am Muslim -to Alan Partridge You have raised a good and valid point. Technically speaking if one wanted to be consistant, then yes, maybe we should be giving land back to the Koories etc.

But we have to be practical and accept that it won’t happen.

The distinction in the Middle East is that the Arabs quote the Koran till it’s coming out of your ears and they believe that the Old Testament is true and that Moses was and is accepted as a prophet in their religion.

That being the case, (putting yourself in their mind set for the sake of the argument) if the Old Testament is the truth and yet it explicitly states that Israel, (then known as the Land of Canaan) was to be a God given gift exclusively to the Jews, where in the Koran was it taken away from the Jews?

I realize that this is all gobbeldy-gook to most of us, but to the god fearing Koran bashing, Old Testament believers such as the Muslims make out to be, the logic is simple.

Israel in it’s biblical borders belongs to the Jews. If they deny that, then they are denying the veracity of the Old Testament which is a contradiction within their own faith.

Yehedah and Samaria (now known as Judah and Shomron) fall within the biblical borders as any bible scholar knows.

By the way the Arabs refer to Jews as “Yehud” . That comes from the Hebrew word Yehuda.

Non believers are welcome to disregard the above!

Having said that, I am practical and I know some sort of deal will need to be done. But it will be political as opposed to biblically based.

That's the only distinction that I am making.
