Gerrymander, I agree with that. It is disappointing and disturbing that there is a lack of visions on either side of politics at the present times. It seems to me that a lot of policies and politics are based on short term self interests.
Our economy is going great at the moment and one would have thought it is a great opportunity for Australia to invest in some "nation building" activities for the benefits of future generations. There has been talks of the aging populations but no great efforts have been made to try to improve our health system. There is a skill shortage but no great investments in training. Our roads are run down. The rich are getting richer.
