Court upholds Lincoln’s appeal and directs Minister to grant groundwater licence for proposed SA iron ore mine
Lincoln Minerals Limited (“LML”) is pleased to advise that a South Australian court has directed a Government Minister to grant a groundwater licence for the Company’s proposed iron ore mine on the State’s Eyre Peninsula.
This follows a ruling this week by the Environment, Resources and Development Court of South Australia (ERD Court) allowing the Company’s appeal and reversing the decision of the SA Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation refusing the Company’s application for a water licence to extract groundwater for its proposed operation of a new iron ore mine at its Gum Flat (Barns) deposit near Port Lincoln on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.
