The bible was said to be inspired by god thus it should be what he thinks other wise there was no purpose in writting it.
As for manipulation, I would love to destroy some relegions, they are bloody and revolting. In the early centuries priests knew when eclipses etc would occour and would go to the people saying they have done bad things and that god would blacken out the sound. They laughed at them and the next day.... back to church they went.
It is totally wrong, I would never be associated with such religions.
