My Reflection today is boring, mudane and even unexcitingly practical ....
Question: When nothing happens.... in or on ...a "given day"-- it signifies what...?
Answer: Usually (imo) ...absolutely nothing....
Yet for those of us; who need a little confirmation now and again...; a bit of reassurance that all is OKAY--- some psychological assurance.... if you will....so as to RELAX; and to be content; that the Sky is not falling in.... and that all is well; ......and that a day in the life of a Company; where there is seeminly mainly .....inactivity .... is really, 99.999% of the time, imo, nothing to fear, worry, panic or fret about.... then sometimes..... inactivty .....can allow ...imo...the 'demons in the mind'.... to take nest in our brains.
ie: The "worry warts can begin to take root; and can even set in" & then the 'wotifs....wotif this and wotif that..." often begin....to play a nasty form of mental anguish and havoc .... in one's otherwise ....tranquil .... mental mind set.....
....hmmmmm....
.... Waiting, abiding, tarrying, being still ..... seems so facile and 'non progress making..."--??-- so annoyingly inane .... so against what .....our human instincts want to US to do —??
To do waht...??
Answer: we want to.... DO SOMETHING ....
...Or second best answer perhaps: At the very least .....we want to see that Someone Else..... has DONE SOMETHING ......
- And so then; .....do we begin to take our cues ....from fleeting dark shadows, uncertainties, emotive perceptions, preying fears and whispers in our mind.... ???...
Or from realities and objective calm facts ... and be patient....??
Some of the Greatest & most Successful Investors in the 20th Century; and even before last century; in the annals and history of Investing Wisdom; teach me..... that this waiting...... and being as immoveable as a large “ Granite Rock”-- is what separated them so often;..... as time was to prove; .....from the “also rans”... who panicked ....or moved ..... prematurely.....
Anyway...maybe some "food for thought..."
And this is only & Just a reflection ... Nothing More. .... Nothing Less......
