Projections are rife here.
The reason I like the ones in charts is because, like knitting patterns, they are based on mathematical formulae
As to punt projecting the future of lithium in Australia?
My Mr Thick of Tianqi ( the ladies here like that he brought a Chinese dragon show to the kiddies at the local Kwinana school) said :
“
Mr Thick said there was no boom and no bubble about to burst.
"I think anybody who looks at the forward projections, the numbers say that we are actually going to really struggle to meet demand [for technology materials] over the next 10 years," Thick said.

And yes, pricing has corrected a bit over the past few months but that's expected in this market, but I think the projections of a fivefold increase in demand for lithium products in the next seven years are real and it is supported by nearly all of the analysts."
So he clearly feels pretty comfortable about upping the Tianqi spend in Australia by another $860 million.
We like his reference to Icarus in the story too....classic tale of fear and desire arising from man-made labyrinths, a moral about the durability of wax and fits in with frequent references here to the divine play
. ...there has to be at least a tea cosy in the way that all weaves together
!
Elsewhere (but at the same lunch last Tuesday ) Mr Thick reckoned WA has enough on its plate without trying to jump the gun into battery production.
