In this situation I always go back to what the company has published. They published the below timetable in the last investor preso.
DFS will be completed by the end of Q2 to support final investment decision and financing in Q3.
Usually as companies go from PFS to DFS they do more detailed metallurgy and other detailed design stuff that informs the feasibility study. I'm thinking we'll see further metallurgy studies. Does anyone know if they have mentioned plans to do bulk sampling? We would often see that as part of activities for a DFS.
We may also see some news on permitting in the next 6 months.
There would also be detailed design work going on in the background.
I hope they take a very careful look at their costings and risks given the Nemaska disaster (massive cost overrun on CAPEX). Anyone from KDR reading ... take that as a prod to have careful and independent reviews of your numbers.
They have the next 4 months to make sure they get the DFS right.
