Ok so NWC's subsidiary KOBA has "aquired" NWC'S Cobalt assets/deposits and will be developing them as a separate enity. As a NWC share holder, does this add or subtract value to/from my investment in NWC? It seems to me that spinning off future potential assets(Cobalt/Copper/Gold) deposits to another entity that I have no investment in, is a negative for a NWC share holder. Is this too simplistic ? Perhaps NWC will potentially gain a share of the returns at some point.
It puts me in mind of when Alkane Resources spun off their Dubbo Rare Earth deposit to their subsidiary Australian Strategic Materials. That was a great opportunity for for all who got in early on ASM, including me vla the ASX. However how much benefit was it to existing Alkane share holders? As I was never an ALK share holder, it is not something that I am familiar with. Maybe an ALK holder could comment.
Anyway, I am just trying to gauge what other NWC holders feel about the KOBA/COBALT spin off and the future prospects of NWC.
