German automaker Volkswagen today announced it will discontinue its internal combustion engines by 2026. Instead, it will focus on electric automobiles.
You know when the largest car manufacturer in the world makes that statement change is on the way...

Now, the company is clarifying its electrification plans with an announcement that they aim for 50% of sales to be ‘fully electric’ by 2025.
That’s a significantly more aggressive goal than simply adding “electric” options to all models, which can mean anything from a simple hybrid to a plug-in hybrid to an all-electric vehicle.

GM is going 'all-electric,' but it doesn't expect to make money off battery-powered cars until early next decade
Not to mention every car manufacturer that isn't already producing electric cars has models lined up for the very near future, and China, the biggest market in the world is leading the charge....IMO the world of land transport will be a very different place in 10 years...
