The auto big boys are employing a rationalist strategy, given EVs have far fewer parts to assemble - thus fewer employees required to do the build. This will lead to cheaper production costs and cheaper EVs. Combine both dynamics to the continuing fall in battery costs and the result is EVs at cost parity with ICE.
At the moment the whole EV/battery/charging industry is one big jigsaw puzzle, but piece by piece a remarkable picture will emerge.
