Solid state is still some years away, so no need to worry or get excited just yet. There seem to be no commercial applications in the market yet and any OEM will take some years of testing before launching a product with a solid state battery. Apart solid state favors brine base production
I asked Joe Lowry some time ago which was the cheapest path to Li-Chloride (which is used for solid state) and he answered: brine.

The best scenario for hard rock is a high nickel chemistry (NMC 6-2-2 or higher) and NCA. Those require Li-Hydroxide and the cheapest path to Hydroxide is from spodumene. Fortunately that is the direction all the OEMs are pushing.
