There was a formula that stated that once a new technology is used in 10% of households, it will then take the same amount of time for that technology to reach 90% of households. Eg, if electric vehicles take ten years to penetrate 10% of household market, then they will achieve 90% presence within twenty years of initial adoption by consumers.
