Hi Druiner
EVs in and of themselves are a no brainer (preaching to the converted), and I can't wait to scare the panties off the lovely Consuela with some face rippling electric torque; a tried and true method of seduction we often employed as young men back in the 70s with our Ford 351 V8s. Fond memories.
That said, the utility companies and entrepreneurs will have to work in concert with a mass introduction of charging stations to alleviate the reality of range anxiety for long distance travel before we can assume unrestricted take-up of EVs. With battery range now reaching beyond 600KM the city commute and daily top-up from our roof top solar solves 80/90% of our driving needs, but that one remaining piece of the charging station puzzle is a necessity to complete the loop. Once this deficit is solved to the satisfaction of the average driver, then ICEs are truly dead and love is in the air. Hang on to your pants, Consuela.
