That would be a fair point if more people riding bicycles rode with some care & consideration.
The frustration expressed here on hc seems likely to relate to the lycra-clad fools who seem to think they are competing in the tour-de-frog each time they strap into their pedal thingies. Courier cyclists and amateur boy racers seem to me to be the worst offenders.
And yes, there are heaps of equally stupid car drivers but that isn't what this thread is about imo
A sad report, made sadder by the fact that the old chap appears to have signalled his intention to cross the road....makes you wonder what was going on amongst the cyclists to allow the offender to avoid the collision.
He should be charged with whatever a car driver would be charged with.
