Sorry Banjar but the only translation one can take is the one that the audience hears. Talking to the sheik is pointless as the damage is already done. Anyone in the public arena knows that the spoken word must be given very carefully and people can't be expected to second guess the speakers intent. It is sad that this has now blown up into an internationally reported incident and I'm sure most muslins would have preferred it never happened.
The sheiks latest utterance that he will not resign until the WhiteHouse is "cleared out" is another sad chapter where religion is being confused with politics. I wish he would go away!
