Big contracts will come in lumps and bumps and the expectation is that at times our financial reports will look overdone.
The catch as stated by many here is that you cant sell what you don't have. And unfortunately it is expensive to buy land and then build these data centres.
Each to their own but this is a long timeframe investment.
