re: news: artemis drilling expands high-grade. chamonix, the stops vs no stops debate is like Ford vs Holden - I am not sure there's ever a winner can ever be declared. Stops are actualised losses whereas no stops are either deferred losses (to be sold later- deliberately), or "paper losses", because they haven't been sold, so no loss can be declared- either to the ATO or to oneself. Really, I think it's just personal style.

Say with ARV, I have losses, but will I actualise them? Probably not. I figure that every company who has sellers- like big sellers who seem urgent to offload- get their goove back at some ppoint into the future- at least this is what I hope. Some solid green days would help. If I had stop losses operating, I would barely have a share portfolio left today! :D I may regret not having stop losses, but others sometimes regret having them, so it's horses for courses. Stop loss (rigidity) vs no stop loss (flexibility). Who knows? Whatever works for people is the key.
