re: phosphate plays Maaden isn't going to be giving away dirt cheap DAP either. Costs for the project have risen from initial estimates of $2.5 billion to currently over $4.5b. They're not spending that money just to overload the world market with DAP and send the prices through the floor, but to get into what they see as a rapidly increasing worldwide market.

Did people just wake up and discover this? Maaden has been planned for over 5 years now and most of the infrastructure contracts were signed last year.
