    re: phosphate plays Come on DBK, a tripling of DAP prices in the short term does not indicate that 2.9 million tonnes of extra production will tip the balance back to surplus. At today's grain prices which are at least double compare with last year, that is nonsense.

    There is increased demand for grains due to

    A) Biofuel (minor)
    B) Grains being used for meat production (Major).

    Higher prices for grains means the input costs of fertiliser can and would be higher. In Australia they tend to be one sixth of the grain price, depending on the size and location of the farm.

    MAK is lagging because it is in the stage where it is waiting for news from management. As the announcements come along building the JORC and establishing a firmer timeline to mining, it will move up. I love the knockers who bag MAK for dropping from $2.70s down to the $2. You are the same clowns who missed this early on and will miss the gains in the future.
