We can only guess about the certificate but i would think its a formality.Salzgitter is a major german/european quality steel producer.bis has basically been approved by german rheinmetall.So the certificate is imperative for rheinmetal and salzgitter,not just bis.
Re stock levels,bis now imports wear plate from its cjv so due to delays in shipping bis will have to hold more stock in wear platre so it can concentrate on its higher margin armor plate.
Also we r still waiting for salzgitter detail,will bis have to contribute some money into partnership like cjv which could effect div to a sml degree.
hmm lol as i wait for august report season i have plenty of time on my hands.
The oshkosh jltv has finally been approved for full production by US govt.
First order 9000 or 11000 ,this was only conformed in june/july.
The total order which will b spread over decades is for 49,000 for army and 9000 for marines.Value USD $50b.
The following should b treated like a grain of salt if that makes sense.
Bisalloy includes following in key customer list
-oshkosh defence ie matv and mtvr vehicles.
-Navistar defence ie mrap vehicle
Bisalloy supplied the armor for these vehicles but the volumes were very sml compared to the oshkosh jltv volumes.
Now look at the similarities between the mrap vehicle and the oshkosh jltv.
So we have bis which must export the armor plate to the US supported by a low AUD with greenfeed supplied by bsl and no tariffs from my mate trump.
But SSAB has added a 4th line to their q&t plant in the US,but i believe they still import their green feed from sweden.
Just saying and best not to read to much into this.
