need brains as well...anyone can punch holes down chasing the missing target...it takes brains to put em in the right place...
and it takes brains to structure a drill program so that you have multiple avenues to pursue and back up plans, in the event you find things are not what you expected.
Since you brought it up, I do have a criticism of the companys phase 1 program and how it was run.
this is the newspaper pic of the sponsored article showing spodumene (presumably) bearing peg... Im assuming this is part of the 4m grading 0.2% Li2O - this means spodumene (im assuming its spod and not lepidolite) will be 1.6%. So if you were hitting it with the hand held UV light, you should see around 1.6% fluoresce...
if the intersection was to grade 1.4% Li2O (like the surface samples) then the amount of Spod you will see is around 12%.
Most geos can tell the difference between 1.6% and 12%.
Most should also be able to pick Lepidolite from Spodumene - the former is a mica and soft as.
My point is they would have full well known they did not get what they were looking for both during and at completion of the program. Why they added more holes during the Phase 1 when they were not getting the Li intersections they were looking for has me stumped...particularly when they had a plan to come back with Phase 2 anyway. That type of off the cuff drilling decision (hero) beggars belief and mostly results in waste. The only time you really add holes off the cuff is when you have nailed an intersection and you then step out along strike and dip to firm it up.
